What is the Girls Entrepreneurship Incubator?
The Girls’ Entrepreneurship Incubator (GEI) is a program designed to empower young entrepreneurs to develop entrepreneurial skills to launch their own businesses. Students receive mentorship from business professionals from the Des Moines Metro area where they obtain hands-on skills and connections to confidently pitch their business ideas at the conclusion of the program.

The Pi515 GEI connects students with experienced entrepreneurs and business professionals to provide mentorship, career insight, and practical guidance. Through structured one-on-one and small-group mentorship, students gain exposure to real-world business environments, industry expectations, and emerging opportunities in entrepreneurship. The program helps students build confidence, explore possibilities, and make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.
"I learned vital information needed to start a business. Upon completion of the program, I launched my business, Safies' Souffle"
Safie Jackson | Pi515 alum
Programs are hosted at partner company locations, giving students the opportunity to learn directly within professional settings and better understand what entrepreneurship looks like beyond the classroom.

Who Can Join?
The program is open to students in grades 9–12 who are interested in entrepreneurship, whether they are exploring business for the first time or looking to grow their entrepreneurial skills. The program meets students where they are in their journey and helps them advance at their own pace.
Our Mentors
Mentors in the Pi515 GEI are accomplished entrepreneurs and business professionals who guide students on business pathways, professional skills, and industry trends. College interns also serve as mentors, offering peer-to-peer support and insights into higher education, internships, and early-stage business experiences.
