Caleb Moe is a senior at Iowa State University, majoring in Computer Science, and a Tech Mentorship Intern with Pi515 at John Deere. With a passion for programming and a love for teaching, Caleb brings curiosity, patience, and energy into every classroom.
“I genuinely enjoy teaching, and so when I saw that there was a position to teach kids how to program, I knew it was for me. I am generally passionate about programming, and I have had previous experience teaching students how to program in a summer camp setting. It felt like my experiences aligned directly with what the program needed.”
“So far, my favorite part of interning has been working with the students and watching their natural curiosity for learning flourish. For me, I have always enjoyed the ‘aha’ moment that people get once they fully understand something.”
“For me, it helps me realize that everyone comes from different backgrounds and thus might need different types of support in both a professional setting but also outside of the workplace too.”
“I’ve recently gotten really into watching soccer. I have a group of friends who watch a lot of soccer games with me. I also love to watch basketball. I also enjoy running in my free time.”
“Impactful, Collaborative, Growth-oriented.”
“I feel that Pi515 gives every student, regardless of their background, a chance to grow professionally and personally. I would say to give Pi515 a try, all of our programs will try to accelerate your career and give you real, applicable skills and connections.”
We wish Caleb all the best on the rest of his journey! It is a pleasure to hear how much he has enjoyed being a mentor so far.
