Event Overview

The annual Day of Innovation event convenes students, teachers, and industry professionals for a day of career exploration and networking. The summit sparks curiosity in students as they explore future careers and build skills through hands-onbreakout sessions led by industry professionals.

The Day of Innovation creates a dynamic platform for students to present projects, pitch ideas, and engage with real-world challenges. This day includes three key components: The DOI Summit, GEI Pitch Competition, and AI Challenge Pitch Competition

What to Expect on the Day

‍

The day consists of breakout sessions with a focus on coding, entrepreneurship, and AI. There will also be an industry panel and speakers. Students will receive breakfast and lunch for the all-day event.

Volunteering

‍

A variety of roles exist for those looking to support the event through volunteering. Such as, teachers, breakout room facilitators, breakout room assistants, and general volunteers who help crowd flow and cleanup.

Summit Highlights

The Summit is the conclusion of 2 of our programs, the Girls Entrepreneurship Incubator and the AI Challenge. Students from these programs pitch to judges for cash prizes during the summit.

Everything you need to know about DOI

What is the itinerary for the day?

This summit will be a day-long event that will include a keynote speaker, breakout sessions, a panel discussion, lunch, and more. Students will have opportunities to connect with and hear from leaders in the tech industry, and to participate in different activities throughout the day.

Who can attend the summit?

Students, parents, educators and anyone in the tech industry is encouraged to attend, but this event is open to everyone.

How can I get involved?

If you're a student, we would love for you to sign up for the AI Challenge or the Girls' Entrepreneurship Summit. For our Day of Innovation we are also looking for volunteers, which you can sign up to be one here.

What are the student breakout sessions?

Breakout sessions are related to tech, AI, and entrepreneurship. They consist of coding your own game, using AI to build a business, and more. We also offer an industry panel for students to ask questions and learn from experts in a variety of different fields.
